PRESENTATION INFORMATIONS

Speakers should arrive in their session room 15 minutes BEFORE the start of their session to report to the chairs.

A presentation slot is 20 minutes long. You will have 15 minutes for the presentation itself and 5 minutes for Q&A from the audience.

Maintaining your 20-minute slot is critical.

Preparation of Visuals:

  • Presentation slides must be prepared in the form of Microsoft PowerPoint® computer files only (pdf also accepted). The version of PowerPoint® used will be PowerPoint® 2019, PC version. In general, use the pptx format (compatible with PowerPoint 2007/2010/2013/2016) for the submission of your presentation.
  • Size: choose 16:9 landscape format
  • Avoid uncommon fonts
  • Limit the size of video, image and sound files to 1 GB

MAC Compatibility:

On Mac OSX, using PowerPoint® 2019 and the pptx file format ensures you have better compatibility.

Presentations made in PowerPoint® MAC version are compatible with the following conditions:

  • Your images must be in jpeg, png format (and not in pict)
  • Beware of Mac OSX-specific fonts. Prefer Windows-compatible fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Symbol, …)
  • For your videos, use AVI, Wmv rather than the native Mac Mov (QuickTime) format
  • Avoid copy/paste for images or videos, use the « Insert Images » or « Insert Video » function

Presentation slides upload :

  • Your PowerPoint® (or pdf) presentation must be downloaded in Preview room (from USB storage support) imperatively 2 hours at the latest before the start of the session. You will not be able to use your computer or USB key directly in the room.

Preview access:

  • Monday 21st October – 2 pm to 6 pm
  • Tuesday 22nd October – 8 am to 6 pm
  • Wednesday 23rd October – 8 am to 5 pm
  • Thursday 24 October – 8 am to 5 pm

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • All fonts, including those on graphs, should be 16 points or larger.
  • Graphs and charts should have bold lines and symbols that contrast sharply with the background.

POSTER PRESENTATION

  • Your poster must have compatible dimensions of the hanging panels. Usable surface area is 220 x 94 cm.² A0 format (118.9 x 84.1 cm² / 3.9 feet height x 2.75 feet wide) is recommended.
  • The poster can be fixed with tape or fixing paste but everything will have to be removed afterwards.
  • It is essential that posters be put up just before the session and removed immediately after it has ended.

We wish you a good preparation and we look forward to your talk!
